The Monterey Bay Aquarium is a California ocean-conservation organization and aquarium focusing on educating visitors on the beauty of the local waters coupled with the necessity of ocean preservation. It features numerous exhibits, such as the Kelp Forest, Open Ocean, and Tide Pools. From feeling and holding marine life to watching sea otters do tricks in the water, the Monterey Bay Aquarium is a treasure trove of oceanic knowledge. They even offer ocean conservation summer and school-year activities such as the Student Oceanography Club and Teen Conservation Leaders.

The Blue Frontier Campaign is a United States based initiative focused on bringing the citizen or everyday person to the forefront of ocean conservation, partnering with more than a 1000 small to large conservation groups. The main goal is to bring out the citizen’s voice and protect our “public oceans.”

The Island School is a pre-kindergarten through PhD institution on the Eleuthera Island in the Bahamas focused on giving a transformative experience through sustainable living and conservation-focused education. The students interact and learn from climate change and marine experts while being knee deep, metaphorically and physically, in the Caribbean ocean.
